This is the story of a wonderful little Mini that came to be known as 'Pooh'. *

30th Portland ALL BRITISH FIELD MEET at PIR...more than 800 vehicles for the first time!

Pooh and Hunny Pot were Mini Meet West and East Concours winners in Prescott, Arizona and Frederick, Maryland *

We camped across America *

UPDATE - June 14th - Some two years has passed since 'Pooh' looked like this. However, we are as ready as can be to head south for Mini Meet West in Prescott, Arizona then on to Mini Meet East in Frederick, Maryland. Wish us good luck and a safe trip.

We'll try and update the trip as we go. John G. will be updating the travel to MMW on the VMC site or his own.

Tonight, Murray G. pulled out the air hose and polishing discs and with John G. we cut and polished the Mini. Looked good in the dark... Thanks Murray! *

UPDATE - June 13th - two days before departure for Prescott and MMW, followed by transcontinental drive to MME in Frederick Maryland.

I have tried to "break everything" to be sure it all works as planned. Yesterday, while heading for oil/filter change, timing/valve clearance check etc. the new fan belt came off??? [never happened to me before] Roadside adjustments were made, but radiator, oil cooler, starter out etc. so crank damper/pully could come off to remove separated factory timing vane (all three rivets had been sheared by belt jamming and it was "floating loose").

Can we go now?

BMW Isetta 300, one of the famous "bubble cars" that sparked BMC to get Issigonis going on a new small car...which became the Mini. *

The 300 was a little four wheeler! *

UPDATE - May 20th - Four of the 'Magnificent Seven' with yours truly at the VanDusen Gardens ALL BRITISH FIELD MEET May 20th. The project and their efforts won many compliments on the day. *

Murray G.'s interior came together very well!

UPDATE - May 19th - the eve of Vancouver's All British Field Meet at VanDusen Botanical Garden. All will be revealed tomorrow morning when the restored and modified 'Pooh' rolls onto the lawns.

Terrific closing work session last night saw the engine cam run in, the doors bolted on and the clutch and brake hydraulics sorted.

My very good friends and "partners" in this project were on hand to help get it over the top. Appreciation goes out to John G., Martin W., Murray G. and Tim K. No question the best of friends are there at the finish line!
